Ocean Freight Have Been Rising Rapidly and Will Rise A Lot in July
The ocean freight from China to Europe, North America, Middle East, North Africa and Mediterranean, has been rising rapidly recently . For example, the ocean freight from China Lianyungang Port to Dubai, has risen over 400USD/40HQ .A lot of Chinese plywood suppliers will not make any profit from these orders and some of them will have to bear business losses due to the freight increase .
However, in spite of the ocean freight increase, it’s still difficult to book the vessel at present . Because in order to avoid more business losses, all Chinese suppliers have to try their best to ship the goods out before July.01,2007, when the new Export Tax Refund Policy will take effect .
I also heard from some shipping agents/company that the ocean freight from China to Europe will further rise about 400-600USD/40HQ in July . But we are still not sure whether this rumor will come true .
