chinese_plywood During 1993-95, China imported plywood in volumes exceeding 2.0 million m3 annually, but then imports declined to 1.6 million m3 in 1996-1998, and to 1.0 million m3 in 1999-2000.

In 2001, imports declined to 650,000 m3, and for the first time exports of plywood exceeded imports.

Imports declined slightly in 2002 to 632,000 m3, but exports surged, jumping from just under 1.0 million 3 in 2001 to nearly 2.0 million m3 in 2003.

Since 1996 to 2004, exports have increased by an average of 50% per year.

In 2006, exports increased to 8.3 million m3 .

But from July.01,2007 ,  the exports of plywood have decreased to some extent . Because China has amended the Export Tax Refund(Exemption) Policy, which took effect on July.01,2007. According to the new policy , the prices for plywood / film faced plywood / blockboard have had to rise by 6% .
