MLH plywood refers to plywood made of Mixed Light Hardwood . In Malaysia, timber species have been classified into three main hardwood groups: heavy, medium and light hardwood. MLH stands for Mixed Light Hardwood . So MLH refers to some species of light weight hardwood .

In China, factories start to use Red Canarium, which is a good substitute for Meranti (Lauan), as the face/back veneers for plywood . Red Canarium has grains as good-looking as Meranti (Lauan) . Now Red Canarium plywood is the mostly exported plywood from China .

It’s a common usage for plywood to be used as packing materials . As for packing plywood, usually the grade of appearance of plywood is not important . In order to reduce the costs for packing, usually customers require low grade face/back veneers for packing plywood. However, some customers may also want good-looking plywood to be used for packing . Anyway, the packing plywood should be strong enough .
